A former recording artiste with Ocean Butterflies, Alexandra Hsieh had released 3 solo and 2 group albums last self-penned and produced album Tai Tou Wang ( Look Up ) received a 4-star review and was nominated Best Local Song & Album in FM93.3 Awards 2005. An outstanding vocal performer in Singapore’s live performance scene, Alex had performed at high-level official events for various ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, the late President Ong Teng Cheong, PM Lee Hsien Loong, as well as Sultan of Brunei at official functions. Her returning performances at APPSCOM 2010-2014, International Defence Conference for former President Nathan & Dr Tony Tan have won many approvals. She was honoured to have represented Singapore in cross-border events in Japan, Beijing, Malaysia and Taiwan. In 2011, she sang the theme song of YOG at the 1st Anniversary of Singapore Youth Olympics Festival 2011.
Alex has been teaching for more than 12 years, and was the resident coach for singing competitions Academy Fantasia and V-Singer 2012. Her soulful, interactive and upbeat training style is always a hit with students. Her abilities to connect with every student, to effectively facilitate self-motivation, development, and clear understanding of psychology behind vocal performance, make her a very rare gem in the vocal coaching industry.
